The variety is an independent member of the Trebbiano family. It has a genetic relationship with Trebbiano Spoletino. The flower is hermaphroditic. The leaf is rounded, five-lobed, medium to deeply dissected. The bunch is medium to large, elongated, cylindrical-conical, often winged and branched; density varies from medium to compact.
The berry is medium, rounded, white in color, covered with a medium-thick waxy bloom, with medium-thick skin and juicy flesh. The variety is susceptible to powdery mildew but shows relative resistance to drought and most other fungal diseases.
Wine from this variety has a straw-yellow color, high acidity, mineral notes, and floral-fruit aromas, including hints of apple and citrus, with a characteristic bitter almond aftertaste. It is used both for varietal wines and in blends.
