Varieties of the Trebbiano group have ancient origins and are traditionally grown in Italy. The purpose of the variety is the production of white table wines and wine materials for cognac and armagnac. Due to its neutral flavor, the grape is often used in blends to provide expression to wines.
Bushes are medium-sized, leaves are medium or large, flower is perfect. Bunches are medium-sized, have a conical shape and a dense or medium-dense structure. Berries are medium-sized, round, white.
The variety belongs to late ripening periods. It is characterized by comparative drought tolerance and medium resistance to diseases. Frost resistance is weak. In ampelographic literature, Trebbiano Fiorentino is considered a synonym for the Trebbiano Toscano (Ugni Blanc) variety.
