Trebbiano di Soave, also known as Trebbiano di Lugana or Turbiana, is an autochthonous grape variety from the Veneto region. Genetic studies have confirmed that this variety is not related to Trebbiano Toscano and is identical to the Verdicchio variety.
The variety has medium-sized berries and requires harvesting in early October. It is characterized by low yields and is considered more difficult to cultivate compared to the Garganega variety. The variety's production is characterized by high minerality, freshness, and notes of citrus, green apples, almonds, and white flowers.
The grapes are used for the production of dry white wines, both in blends and as monovarietal wines in the Lugana appellation.
