The variety is an ancient representative of the Trebbiano family, historically associated with the Romagna region. The vine is vigorous. The leaf is dark green, round-shaped, five-lobed, deeply cut, with a closed petiolar sinus. The hermaphroditic flower ensures stable fruit set.
The clusters are medium or large (300–400 g), conical in shape, often winged, medium-dense or dense. The berries are medium-sized, round, greenish-yellow or amber-colored, with a thick bloom and firm, thin skin. Ripening is early-mid season.
The variety is characterized by high sensitivity to downy mildew and rot, while showing relative resistance to powdery mildew. Wines made from this grape have a straw-yellow color, neutral aroma, pronounced acidity, and moderate alcohol content.
