Variety description

The variety is the result of a natural cross between Traminer and the ancient variety St. Georgen. The vine has medium to strong vigor with semi-erect shoots. Leaves are medium-sized, five-lobed and deeply incised.

Clusters are large, dense, and often have wings. Berries are medium, round, and green-yellow in color. The variety shows low resistance to fungal diseases and medium frost hardiness. It tolerates drought poorly and develops best on deep loess soils.

Technical variety used to produce white wines with pronounced acidity, notes of white pepper, grass, and mineral nuances. The style of the wines ranges from light and fresh to complex and structured, suitable for aging.
