Malvasia Bianca is an Italian autochthonous wine variety used for the production of dry, fortified, and sparkling wines. Genetically, the variety is a natural hybrid of Malvasia Aromatica di Parma and an unknown variety.
The leaves of the variety are medium, rounded, and five-lobed. The cluster is medium or larger than medium, cylindroconical, elongated, often with a wing, and of medium density. The berries are medium, rounded, yellowish-green in color with a waxy bloom and skin of medium thickness.
The variety is characterized by an early maturity group and high yield. Resistance to fungal diseases and frost is low; it tolerates temperature drops down to -18°C, therefore it requires a full protection system.
