Hydrangea macrophylla (Thunb.) Ser.

The inflorescence of Hydrangea macrophylla is a key morphological trait, represented by corymbose structures of the 'Lacecap' and 'Mophead' types. Evaluation includes a diameter of 10–15 cm, shape, and variable coloration, which depends on soil pH and aluminum ion content.

Botanically, the inflorescence is defined as a corymb. Inflorescence formation occurs primarily on the previous year's shoots, which requires caution during pruning to preserve flower buds. There are remontant varieties capable of developing inflorescences on both previous-year and current-season shoots, which increases flowering reliability in the event of winter damage.
