Hydrangea macrophylla (Thunb.) Ser.
The inflorescence of Hydrangea macrophylla is a key morphological trait, represented by corymbose structures of the 'Lacecap' and 'Mophead' types. Evaluation includes a diameter of 10–15 cm, shape, and variable coloration, which depends on soil pH and aluminum ion content.

Inflorescence formation occurs primarily on the previous year's shoots, which requires caution during pruning to preserve flower buds. There are remontant varieties capable of developing inflorescences on both previous-year and current-season shoots, which increases flowering reliability in the event of winter damage.
