The variety is a hybrid of the English hop Fuggle and the variety Serebryanka. The plant has good vigor, forms compact cones of medium-green color, and matures in medium or medium-late periods.

The hop shows resistance to downy mildew in the crown area and tolerance to Verticillium wilt. Alpha-acids are 4.5–9%, the total oil content varies from 0.7 to 1.5 ml/100 g, while the variety demonstrates low storage stability.

The purpose of the variety is aromatic, the profile includes notes of grapefruit, floral and spicy shades. The variety is a key component for many styles of American beer, including IPA and American Pale Ale.
