The variety was obtained by crossing the Aurora variety with a tetraploid male plant of Yugoslav origin and belongs to the "C-series" of Slovenian hops. It is a female plant with dark green leaves, which is distinguished by high growth vigor in the conditions of Slovenia.
The hop has an alpha-acid content of 6–7%, beta-acid content of 2.4–2.5%, and cohumulone of 29%. The aroma profile includes spicy, floral, woody, earthy, and herbal notes, as well as hints of nutmeg and tea. The variety is intended for use in the production of lagers, pilsners, and ales as an aromatic and bittering component.
