The variety is native to the southeast of France and is traditionally grown in the La Gaude region. The plant is characterized by intermediate or alternate bearing. In agronomic studies, the variety is examined in the context of genetic diversity and adaptation to climatic conditions.

The variety has low cold resistance. The degree of resistance to the olive fruit fly is estimated as low to medium. In the classification of varieties of the Nice region, it can act as a pollinator for other local varieties.
