The tree has a compact shape with drooping branches and reaches a height of 2 to 5 meters depending on pruning. The leaves are small, elongated, and grey-green with a leathery surface. The fruits are small, symmetrical, oval or round in shape, and change color from green to dark brown or black-purple upon ripening.
The variety enters fruit-bearing early, is self-pollinating, and demonstrates high and stable yields. It possesses good adaptability to soil types, drought tolerance, and winter hardiness, and shows resistance to a number of diseases. It tolerates mechanized pruning and harvesting well.
The primary purpose is processing into high-quality oil with a mild sweetish taste. The oil content in the fruits is 18–22%. Harvesting is traditionally carried out from October to January.
