Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is autochthonous to the Apulia region in Italy, where it has been cultivated for at least a thousand years. The tree has medium growth vigor, a spreading canopy of medium density, and elliptical dark green leaves. The fruits are distinguished by their large weight and high flesh-to-pit ratio.

The variety belongs to the early maturity group with a concentrated fruit color change process. The flowering period is early or medium. Being self-sterile, the variety requires the presence of pollinators such as Coratina, Ogliarola barese, or Cellina barese. The oil content in the fruits is medium.
