Variety description

10 August 2026

Canua genotypes, including the varieties Canua 1 and Canua 2, were identified during scientific research on olive genetic diversity. Public agronomic descriptions of the variety, such as plant height, maturity dates, or disease resistance, are absent from the sources.

Research on this genotype is focused on molecular-genetic characterization and analysis of the chemical composition of the oil obtained. It has been established that oil from this variety is characterized by a high content of oleic acid and a low content of palmitic and linoleic acids.
