The trees are small to medium in size with greyish rough branches. The fruits are small to medium in size. The variety is self-compatible, flowers in mid-season, but is prone to high levels of ovary abortion. Yield is biennial.
The variety is adapted to calcareous soils, but is sensitive to cold, drought, and soil salinity. The oil obtained from the fruits is characterized by a pronounced bitterness, pungency, and a fruity aroma with notes of fresh grass, tomato leaf, green apple, banana, and almond.
