The Coroncina tree has medium dimensions with long spreading branches. The fruits are oval-shaped and medium-sized, changing color from light green to reddish-purple with numerous speckles upon ripening. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinators such as Mogliano, Pendolino, or Piantone di Mogliano.
The variety is classified as early, with experts recommending harvest in mid-October to preserve aromatic properties. The oil is characterized by a high polyphenol content, an intense fruity aroma with notes of artichoke, grass, and almond, as well as a pronounced flavor combination of sweetness, bitterness, and pungency. Oil yield is medium to low.
