The variety Corsicana da Mensa is a traditional landrace common on the island of Sardinia. It is characterized by intermediate and irregular yields, with fruits showing a high oil content in fresh mass.
The variety has genetic similarities with a number of other local varieties, such as Nera di Oliena, Manna, Paschixedda, Terza grande and Terza piccola. In scientific literature, it should be distinguished from the separate genotype Corsicana da Olio, which is specialized in oil production.
