Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is considered indigenous to Murcia and is historically linked to the Lechín de Granada variety. The trees are characterized as hardy, adapted to dry continental and Mediterranean climates, as well as to calcareous soils.

The fruits are small in size, oval-shaped, with a relatively large pit. The harvest takes place from November to December, when the fruits turn purple-black or dark brown in color.

The olives have an intense flavor with a 'smoky' aroma and a sweetish aftertaste. The oil of this variety is valued for its mild taste with notes of almond, tomato, and nuts.
