The Orbetana tree has high vigor and an upright canopy shape. The crown is voluminous but not dense, with long and weakly branching fruit-bearing branches. The leaves are large, elongated, pointed, and grey-green on the upper side.

The variety has dual purpose—oil and table use. The fruits are ovoid in shape, weighing 2.5–3 g, maturing late and simultaneously, changing color from dark green to intense black. The oil is characterized as moderately fruity, harmonious, with bitter and spicy notes.

Productivity is medium, prone to alternate bearing. It enters the bearing stage at medium-late timing. The variety is characterized by low sensitivity to cold and the olive fruit fly.
