The variety is divided into two types: Nabali Baladi, distinguished by the longevity of the trees, and Nabali Mohassan, selected for higher yields. The fruits are medium-sized and have an elongated oval shape. The trees demonstrate high drought tolerance and are adapted for cultivation in mountainous regions.
The oil content in the fruits ranges from 23% to 33%. Harvesting takes place in two stages: in September, green fruits are harvested for table use, and in November, ripened ones for oil production. Due to its centuries-long history of cultivation, genetically distinct forms of the plant may be hidden under this name.
