Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is traditional for the Baix Ebre-Montsià regions and the border areas of the province of Castellón. It is a medium-to-large evergreen tree with a wide spreading canopy, adapted to local climatic conditions with variations in temperature and precipitation.

Oil from Morruda fruits has a harmonious profile with fruity notes of green apple and banana, and hints of almond, thyme, and oregano. The characteristic bitterness and pungency in the taste depend on the harvest time, which is often carried out early.
