The variety originates from the municipality of Morón de la Frontera in Andalusia. The fruits are characterized by the presence of light lenticels on the skin and are considered suitable both for direct consumption and for obtaining high-quality olive oil.

The variety is distinguished by high productivity and late ripening; the fruits are harvested from October to January. Due to the firm attachment of the fruits to the pedicel, harvesting is predominantly manual, which helps to preserve the integrity of the olives.

Oil from the MORONA variety has a pronounced green color and a fruity taste profile with hints of banana, apple, tomato, and red pepper. The variety is considered well-adapted to the conditions of its cultivation region.
