The variety is a historical local plant of Sardinia. It belongs to the dual-purpose type: it is suitable for oil production and for preserving. The fruits have an elliptical shape with an asymmetric profile, the average weight of a single fruit is about 4.7 g, and the flesh-to-pit ratio is 5.0. Upon ripening, the skin of the fruits turns a dark red color.
The olive is characterized by an early ripening period, average productivity, and alternate bearing. The oil yield is about 18%; it is distinguished by a sweet taste, low polyphenol content, and low long-term storage capacity. The flesh of the table olives is delicate and requires gentle processing.
