Oliastro is a local Italian genotype or landrace found in the Apulia region. In a number of scientific sources, this genotype is mentioned as a synonym for the variety Oliva Rossa.

In agronomic research, Oliastro is used as a pollinator for commercial olive varieties such as Coratina. In studies on resistance to the pathogen Xylella fastidiosa, this genotype is classified as having intermediate resistance or moderate tolerance to the bacterium.

Specialized data on maturity group, morphological characteristics of the plant and fruit, as well as detailed information on product quality are absent in open publications.
