10 August 2026
The variety was identified by local farmers in the 1920s and historically grew in near-wild conditions. The name of the variety translates as "Olive of the mountains" and indicates its geographical origin in the province of Rome.
The plant is used primarily for olive oil production. Morphologically, the variety is characterized by fruit size of about 21.8 mm in length. Detailed agronomic descriptions, including disease resistance, are absent from open scientific publications due to the limited distribution of the variety.
