The name Oliva di polpa is not an independent breeding variety, but serves as a local name for the Minucciola variety. The tree of this variety is distinguished by medium to high vigor, vertical branching direction, and a dense, spreading crown.
The variety belongs to the oil-bearing type and is valued for stable yield. The fruits are small in size and ellipsoidal in shape; the ripening period is characterized as early. The flowers are self-sterile and require the presence of pollinators.
The plant possesses relative resistance to the fungal disease peacock spot and is lowly susceptible to olive knot. The variety is well adapted to the climatic conditions of coastal zones.
