The name OLIVO A GRAPPOLO reflects the morphological feature of fruit arrangement in clusters. In the Campania region, this name is applied to the Carpellese variety (synonyms Nostrale, Pendente, Salicegna). The tree of this variety has a weeping crown shape and medium or high vigor. The variety is intended exclusively for oil production, is characterized by high yield and sensitivity to the olive fruit fly and peacock spot, while showing low susceptibility to olive knot.

The Tuscan variety of OLIVO A GRAPPOLO is distinguished by the fact that the fruits are gathered in clusters of up to 5. It is a rustic variety with high and constant yield, late scalar fruit ripening, and good resistance to low temperatures and fungal diseases. The oil produced is characterized by high quality and antioxidant content.
