The variety Rosinjola (synonyms: rošinjola, rušinjola, rožinjola, rovinjka, rovinješka) is traditional for the Istrian peninsula. The tree has a dense rounded crown and requires regular pruning due to vigorous growth. The variety serves as a good pollinator for other local varieties.

The plant has resistance to Spilocaea oleaginea, but is susceptible to the olive fruit fly and aphids. The oil of this variety is characterized by a balanced taste with notes of freshly cut grass, green olives, almond, artichoke, chicory, and herbal aromas, with pronounced bitterness and pungency, as well as a high content of antioxidants.
