The Tonda di Filadelfia variety is a genetically distinct genotype in the Calabria olive germplasm collection, sharing genetic affinity with the Roggianella variety. In agricultural practice, this variety most often acts as a component of blends (up to 10%) in the production of regional oil, which possesses a balanced taste with notes of bitterness and pungency.
Besides oil production, there are traditions of using the fruits of this variety as table olives for the preparation of pickled "crushed" fruits. Detailed quantitative data on agronomic traits, such as tree height, maturation periods, and phytopathological resistance, are absent in open scientific publications.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
