The Shokoladnica variety tree reaches a height of 2–2.5 meters, forming a medium-density crown with straight brown shoots covered in a gray bloom. The leaves have an obovate shape, are green in color, and have a matte surface.
The round-shaped fruits are distinguished by a dark burgundy, almost black shade. The flesh has a sweet-and-sour taste; the stone is small and separates easily. The variety is self-fertile, exhibits resistance to drought and low temperatures down to -35 °C, and also possesses high yield.
