The Siki variety is a representative of Prunus cerasus, bred in Denmark at the Blangstedgaard research center. The plant was selected as part of a program to study and improve local cherry landraces.
This variety belongs to the late maturity group. Unlike the closely related Tiki and Miki varieties, Siki is characterized by a later fruit ripening period. A detailed morphological description of the tree in publications is limited to its belonging to the specified breeding group.
