C.162 mirobalán is a seed rootstock for stone fruit crops that provides vigorous growth of grafted trees. Its use is advisable in orchards where the formation of large trees for mechanized harvesting is required.
The rootstock has good compatibility with most plum varieties and has a positive effect on the condition of apricot on calcareous soils, preventing leaf chlorosis. When working with apricot, incompatibility was identified with certain varieties, such as Ceglédi kedves and Ceglédi bíbor.
