The rootstock was selected as a result of a breeding program at the research station in Cegléd. It is intended for use as a base for grafting Prunus domestica varieties, providing the grafted trees with vigorous growth, early fruit bearing, and high yield.
The plant adapts well to various soil types, however, it is capable of producing root suckers. The main distinguishing feature of this rootstock is the identified biological incompatibility with apricot, which is why its use for this crop is not recommended.
