The GM 9 (Inmil) rootstock was bred in Belgium. It is used for grafting sweet cherry and contributes to a 25–40 % reduction in scion vigor compared to vigorous rootstocks. Trees grafted onto this rootstock enter into fruiting faster.
The root system of the rootstock is characterized by fragility, which is why the trees often require additional support. The rootstock is sensitive to growing conditions and soil quality; in a number of trials, increased tree mortality was noted on this rootstock.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
Variety registered as early as 2 jurisdictions, data for which we do not publish: their registry licenses have not yet been verified. This section will be available upon verification.
A single variety may be registered in different countries under different names. All records are consolidated into one profile based on the breeder's code—an internal number that is identical for the variety across all registries.
The primary name shown is the one under which the variety is registered in the largest number of jurisdictions. Search finds the variety by any of its names.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
More 1 record protections in other jurisdictions are shown on the map above.
