The variety is a local Westphalian genetic resource. Work is currently underway to identify the plant and find additional information in cooperation with pomologists, as detailed data on the variety is currently unavailable.

Specific morphological indicators, including tree height, disease resistance, or maturity dates, have not been established. There is an assumption that the variety may belong to the group of culinary pears intended for processing, however this requires scientific confirmation.
