H-TE-2 is a seed rootstock that promotes the development of a vigorous crown of the scion variety. Trees grafted onto this rootstock enter the fruiting stage in 4–5 years.
The rootstock possesses good affinity, wood resistance to low temperatures, and drought tolerance. It is used for forming standard trees and for varieties with poor compatibility with quince rootstocks, especially in difficult climatic conditions or on elevated sites.
