Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree reaches 4–6 meters in height and has a pyramidal or oval crown. The fruits are of a short pear-like shape with green or yellow-green skin, ripen in August or September, and have a short shelf life. The flesh of the fruit is white, juicy, sweet, but is characterized by a coarse texture.

The variety is considered undemanding to soil types and high-yielding. To obtain a yield, it requires cross-pollination; the Kruidenierspeer variety is suitable as a pollinator. The variety shows sensitivity to fire blight. In literature, it is found under the synonyms Koningspeer, Dubbele Fransche Suikerpeer, and Reint Huismanpeer.
