Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree is vigorous, lives up to 100 years, forms a dense broadly pyramidal crown and reaches a height of 4–6 meters. Shoots are characterized by rapid growth.

Fruits of medium or large mass from 160 to 250 g have a typical, often asymmetrical pear shape. The dense matte skin acquires a light yellow hue upon ripening with small subcutaneous dots and a possible faint blush.

The variety is classified as winter or late-autumn, ripens in late September — early October, and is consumed in November–December. The flesh is fine-grained, sweet with slight astringency and a faint aroma; it handles transportation and storage of up to two months well.

The variety is drought-tolerant and highly winter-hardy, withstands frosts down to -28°C, and is undemanding regarding soils, with the exception of saline, stony, and waterlogged sites. The variety is self-sterile and requires cross-pollination by other varieties.
