The variety was developed in 1978 by crossing the varieties Aida and Uguns. The plant forms a dense, well-branched shrub, which at the age of 20 years reaches 3–3.2 m in height and 2.5–3.2 m in width.
The flowers are pink, with 15 petals that are wavy at the margins, measuring approximately 70 by 70 mm. The variety blooms late: in late May and the first half of June. The plant is characterized as winter-hardy and resilient, adapted to the climatic conditions of Northern Europe.
