Bellone is an autochthonous variety, which is a natural hybrid of the Pampanaro variety and an unknown parent. The vines are characterized by vigorous growth, the ripening period is late, and the harvest takes place in early October. Yields are high but can be irregular. The variety has low resistance to diseases and frost.

The leaf is medium-sized, round, five-lobed, with deep sinuses and dense felt-like pubescence on the underside. Bunches are medium-sized or large, cylindrical-conical, often winged, dense or medium-dense. Berries are medium-sized, round or slightly oval, white in color, and covered with a thick waxy bloom.

The variety is intended for the production of white wines, characterized by a straw-yellow color, high acidity, and notes of apple, apricot, peach, citrus, and minerals, as well as a characteristic almond bitterness in the aftertaste.
