The berries have a color ranging from pink to red, sometimes acquiring a gray tint upon ripening. Their shape varies from round to oval, and they are tightly packed in the cluster. The berry skin is thin but firm, which makes the variety sensitive to weather conditions.
Wines made from this variety are characterized by a fresh taste with mineral tones, as well as notes of citrus, apple, and pear. Depending on the climate, exotic and spicy shades manifest in hot years, while in cool years the wines acquire high acidity.
