Variety description

The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing the varieties Gamay and Seibel 8365. Its lineage contains genes of Vitis labrusca, Vitis rupestris, Vitis aestivalis, and Vitis vinifera. The vines of this variety are characterized by weak vigor.

The leaves are medium-sized, five-lobed, moderately incised, with a U-shaped open petiole sinus. The clusters are medium-sized, ranging from cylindrical to conical, and compact. The berries are medium-sized, round, and violet-black in color.

The variety is an early-maturing type, characterized by early bud break, and prefers regions with a cool climate. The plant is sensitive to grey mold (Botrytis cinerea) and requires grafting due to its moderate vigor.
