The variety was obtained by crossing Frankovka (Blaufränkisch) × Svatovavřinecké (St. Laurent). The variety name was formed by merging the names of the parent forms.

The vine is characterized by vigorous growth. Leaves are large, pentagonal, ranging from entire to three-lobed. Clusters are of medium size and density; berries are small to medium-sized, round, and dark blue in color. The skin contains a large amount of red coloring pigment, and the pulp is uncolored.

This is a late-maturing variety with average yield. It possesses resistance to frost and Botrytis cinerea, but is susceptible to powdery mildew and downy mildew. To achieve optimal sugar content, crop thinning is recommended.

The grapes are used to create red wines of a rich ruby or dark red color with violet hues. The flavor and aroma profile includes notes of blackberry, plum, blackcurrant, cherry, and blueberry. The wines have good aging potential.
