The variety is a hybrid of Gouais blanc and Blaue Zimmettraube. The vine is vigorous, with large, three-lobed, dark green leaves. Clusters weighing 150–300 g have a cylindrical or cylindrical-conical shape. Berries are medium-sized, dark blue, with firm skin and juicy pulp.

The variety belongs to the late-ripening group. It is characterized by good frost resistance, however, it is prone to damage by spring frosts due to early bud break, and is also susceptible to fungal diseases downy mildew and powdery mildew. It requires load regulation to maintain crop quality.

Wines produced from this variety have an intense ruby color, high acidity, pronounced tannins, and aromas of cherry, blackberry, and plum with spicy or herbal notes.
