The variety is the result of a natural cross between Alba Imputotato and Gouais Blanc. The plant is characterized by high growth vigor and yields of 12 to 14 tons per hectare. There is a biotype Ţârţâră, which differs in lower yields and increased sugar accumulation.
Leaves are medium-sized, three- or five-lobed, dark green. Flowers are hermaphroditic. Bunches are medium to large, cylindrical-conical, dense. Berries are medium, spherical, yellow-green with thin skin and juicy pulp.
The variety is sensitive to powdery mildew and severe winter frosts, withstanding temperature drops down to -18...-20°C, while possessing good drought tolerance. The wine material accumulates 190–200 g/l of sugar and possesses a fresh taste with citrus and apple notes.
