The variety is considered a local traditional cultivar grown in Romania since ancient times and is sometimes classified as a mutation of the Furmint variety. Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant and its agrotechnical parameters are not presented in specialized publications.
The grape has low frost resistance; studies show high sensitivity of buds when temperatures drop to -20°C. Quality indicators of the product, including the concentration of chlorophyll and carotenoids, are significantly influenced by the climatic conditions of the harvest year.
