The variety is a vigorous plant with rounded, three-lobed, medium-sized leaves. Young leaves have a yellowish hue with bronze spots, while mature leaves have a wedge-shaped or pentagonal shape.
Bunches are medium to large in size, cylindrical-conical in shape, and often winged. Berries are small or medium, spherical, with thick black or reddish-brown skin.
The variety belongs to the mid-season maturity group with early bud burst. The plant is susceptible to powdery mildew and grey mold, is prone to millerandage, but is well-adapted to drought conditions and prefers calcareous-clay soils.
Shoots from young wood are fruitful, therefore the variety requires short pruning and training on trellises. Wines are characterized by moderate acidity, pronounced tannins, and aromas of plum and dark berries.
