Variety description

The variety ripens between the second and third ten-day periods of September. The bunches are small, loose, conical-pyramidal in shape, often with one wing. The berries are small, elliptical in shape, with yellow-green skin.

The plant has moderate resistance to downy mildew and is sensitive to gray mold. Wines from this grape are distinguished by floral aromas reminiscent of broom flowers, which can acquire hydrocarbon notes during aging.

An autochthonous variety historically widespread on the Amalfi Coast. It has the synonyms Biancazita and Biancatenera. It is used in winemaking primarily for the production of white wines in blends.
