The Glavinuša variety is known by the synonyms Okatac, Glavinka, Advokatac. Genetically, it is a descendant of the Vugava and Plavac Mali varieties and is common in the inland regions of Dalmatia and on the islands of Šolta and Vis.
It belongs to late-maturing wine grape varieties. Wines based on it are characterized by full body and a low level of acidity. The variety is considered rare and is the subject of programs for the conservation of endangered autochthonous species.
It possesses general resistance to grape diseases.
