The variety Kurtolaška, also known by the synonyms Kurtelaška, Kortola, Kortolaška and Kurtelaška bijela, is historically distributed on the Croatian islands of Hvar, Brač, Vis and Korčula. The grape is classified as Vitis vinifera subsp. vinifera.

Due to the rarity of the variety, its plantings are extremely limited and amount to about 2.64 ha. In the Green Book of Croatian grapevine varieties, it is classified as a vulnerable variety and is a subject of genetic diversity conservation.
